Betastick

The famous and awesomely massive BetaStick enables the pre-clipping of bolts to increase safety and confidence when working or redpointing sports routes.

A great way to save injury when the first bolts are placed high or the start of a route is loose, polished or wet. It is particularly useful when working routes, onsighting at the limit of your grade or getting started with leading sports climbs.

Some world class crags have been bolted with clip sticks in mind, eg Smith Rocks, with the 1st bolt placed high for pre-clipping. This limits potential ground falls when clipping the 2nd bolt. Also great for brushing those out of reach holds whilst out bouldering...
