Dished Crimps

These crimps have a dished profile, being harder than a standard flat crimp to hold. The famous Bleaustone fine surface-texture has also been used to great effect on these holds, resembling the skin preserving properties of wood but with all the predictable friction of resin.

 Assorted

Positive Crimps

These positive crimps are ideal for warm-ups or routes on extremely steep boards of upto +60º. The famous Bleaustone fine surface-texture has also been used to great effect on these holds, resembling the skin preserving properties of wood but with all the predictable friction of resin.

 Assorted

Incut/Flat Crimps

Being slightly incut, but with a flat profile, these crimps are comfortable to hold and train on for extended periods. The famous Bleaustone fine surface-texture has also been used to great effect on these holds, resembling the skin preserving properties of wood but with all the predictable friction of resin.

 Assorted

Rounded Crimps

By far the hardest of the crimps to pull-on on a steep board, they offer a challenge for climbing on and add variety to existing holds on your board. The famous Bleaustone fine surface-texture has also been used to great effect on these holds, resembling the skin preserving properties of wood but with all the predictable friction of resin.

 Assorted

Small Pinches

With a generally flat to positive profile, these small pinches alongside a neat training program will help improve that all-important small pinch strength. The famous Bleaustone fine surface-texture has also been used to great effect on these holds, resembling the skin preserving properties of wood but with all the predictable friction of resin.

 Assorted

Medium Pinches

Again with a general flat to positive profile these medium pinches will help improve wider pinch strength or help develop strength for the small range in the series. The famous Bleaustone fine surface-texture has also been used to great effect on these holds, resembling the skin preserving properties of wood but with all the predictable friction of resin.

Flat Pocket

These Flat Pockets are ideal for training on steeper boards to improve pocket strength even further for that 'action-direct' type problem. They will also help develop pocket strength on flatter-less steep boards. Having a super-friendly radii these pockets, even the mono, wont feel like they're attacking your tendons. Each hold is paired so you can easily set up a symmetrical system board.  Assorted

+30° Pockets

The whole idea of a pocket is to force a climber to hold it open-handed. These +30º Pockets are ideal for training on steeper boards to improve pocket strength and will help develop pocket strength on flatter-less steep boards. Again, having a super-friendly radii these pockets, even the mono, wont feel like it's attacking your tendons, and each hold is paired so you can easily set up a symmetrical system board.

 Assorted

+30° Warm-up Jugs

The +30º Warm-up jugs have been designed for warm-up routes on your board with radii that will not put pressure on joints and tendons; vital for the begining of a session and just before you venture onto smaller holds. These jugs are ideal for medium to easy routes on your board of any angle.

 Assorted

+45° Warm-up Jugs

These are perfect for warming up on boards of any angle. With Mega friendly radii will not feel uncomfortable to climb on after a long rest. Used with the +30º Jugs will make for a steady training session with reduced risk of injury for prolonged climbing.

 Assorted

+45° Slopers

These slopers are designed to be used on steep boards for improving sloper strength. Having a slight incut profile makes them ideal for training a full open hand on steeper ground.  Assorted

Standard Slopers

These slopers require real sloper strength; utilising a full open hand position will help improve climbing between difficult moves on real problems. These will feel extremely hard on steep boards of up to 60º. The famous Bleaustone fine surface-texture has also been used to great effect on these holds, resembling the skin preserving properties of wood but with all the predictable friction of resin.

 Assorted

Symmetrics Set

The symmetrics are the hardest set of training edges in the series.

Each of 10 has a left/ right-hand partner.

The set enables interesting problems to be created and mirrored allowing the climber to identify their weaknesses and thus work on them - a step forward from conventional training-system training.

Training Stone Long Board

The LongBoard has been developed to provide the ultimate two-handed fingerboard available today and has proven extremely popular with our sponsored team. Traditional ergonomic warm up jugs lead into an array of small crimps and slopers which have been kept far apart in order to focus on open positions and maximise the effectiveness of travelling pull-ups and biased hangs. For one-armed work, a large central thread has been provided which can also be used to affix pulleys for lessening body weight; making deadhanging the smaller holds a progressive training option. The LongBoard has the following features:

  • 1 x Central thread hold for one armers and attaching pulleys.

  • 1 x Medium sloper.

  • 2 x Small warm-up jugs.

  • 2 x Medium flat cling grips / medium open holds.

  • 2 x Small incut crimps.

  • 2 x Small slopers / small rounded crimps.

  • 2 x Small open / sloping cling grips.

  • 2 x Small two/three finger open pockets.

  • Maximised width for training open positions.

  • Super smooth BleauStone texture to minimise skin wear whilst maintaining friction - sore skin is no longer a limiting factor.

 Assorted

Training Stone Compact Board

Designed with one-armed deadhangs in mind, the CompactBoard has been kept narrow to allow the climber to stay as central as possible within the doorframe during passive and active hangs. The symmetrical nature and progression of small holds also permits effective two handed training for beginner and intermediate climbers to help work towards one armed deadhangs at a later date. The CompactBoard has the following features:

  • 1 x Central positive cling crimp - specifically designed for one-armed pull-ups.

  • 2 x Small flat crimps / medium three finger open holds.

  • 2 x Small open hand / sloping crimps.

  • 1 x Hard central sloper (can be matched & half crimped).

  • 2 x Medium cling grips / large open hand.

  • Narrow width to keep the climber away from the doorframe.

  • Progressive hold sizing to challenge and vary deadhangs.

  • Super smooth BleauStone texture to minimise skin wear whilst maintaining friction - sore skin is no longer a limiting factor.

Bleaustone was established in Sheffield, UK in 2003. The foundation of the brand is in the concept of the range itself. It is not comparable to any other brands on the market and this has enabled Bleaustone to gain a unique selling position and considerable market share. Function, Variety, Aesthetics and ergonomics are key to creating the perfect Bleaustone set. The climbing area in Fontainebleau, France, has been the main inspiration for the products as the form of the rock, and the climbing lines are like no other and are themselves truly inspiring.
The brand is now owned by Schlamberger P & J d.o.o, a company with an excellent infrastructure  in production, sales channels, website, marketing, and customer service that is taking Bleaustone to a new level.

Hold design and Carving

When it comes to designing each hold the approach is non-random. Each hold with in a set has been carefully thought out before it is carved. This ensures the best possible variety in terms of left or right handedness, positivity, number of fingers used and the size of the hold. It also means you are receiving holds that compliment all of the others within the series and gives you as much variety as possible.
Each hold has been carved by hand and the level of detail that he reaches is almost microscopic. Using only simple tools, time is spent perfecting the aesthetic and ergonomic features of each hold as well as ensuring each hold offers a unique and wide variety of positions for the route setter.

Technical

Hollow-back holds

All large holds within the series, such as Gritstone XXXL and Slopers come "reduced" or with a "hollow-back" The materials used with these holds differs to our usual mix being both stronger and lighter making them a lot easier to set with.
These holds have been designed to be used mainly with the screw fixing holes and should NOT be used solely with the bolt hole. The bolt-hole should only be used as guide to rotate and position the hold into place.

Colour

All of our colours are specified to the RAL colour system. The colours will be consistent within each order and from order to order. The UV stability of our standard colours is of the highest possible e.g. Red, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Black, White and are recommended for outdoor use. Fluorescent pigments have a Low UV stability and are therefore NOT recommended for use outdoors.

Care and cleaning

Cleaning: When cleaning your holds it is recommend that only a high-pressure washer is used. Cleaning holds with any detergents will vastly speed up deterioration of the surface colour.
Care: When resetting routes it is important to take care not to drop the holds, Whilst every effort is made to ensure this type of treatment can be handled by the hold, repeated impacts will increase the chance of the holds fracturing whilst being affixed to an ACS. Any chips that result can be sharp and should be sanded/linished to remove these edges.
